Christmas Markets Galore

It is only November, but the Festive season is in full swing and I don’t know about you, but I am fully embracing it. The festive lights, the mulled wine and all the late-night shopping. One of the best places to get all your Christmas present and feel very festive is going to Christmas markets which Europe is famously known for. Lucky for us, England offers some of the most magical Christmas markets and I have put together a list of the Top five must visits Christmas markets this year!


   Bath Christmas Market

 Dates: 28th November – 15th December

Opening hours differ Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be open from 10AM–7PM, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays will be open longer 10AM–8PM while Sundays will be open 10AM–6PM. Bath is probably one of the best know and most popular Christmas Market in the UK , it is the largest Christmas shopping event in the South West. This year there will be over 150 chalets stalls , all selling high quality artisan products and home made British goods. The market itself covers the streets around the Bath Abbey, this is accessible via train or car. Set among the romantic roman cobbled streets it’s easy to tell why the Bath Christmas Market is so beloved.


Birmingham Christmas Market

Dates: 7th November – 23rd December

Open daily from 10AM-9PM, the Birmingham city market is known as the Frankfurt Christmas Market, as it is one of the largest authentic German Markets outside of Germany and Austria. This year there will be over 180 chalets stalls offering a wide range of artisan products, don’t miss out on trying the food stalls with German sausage , beer and pretzels. In addition to the great stall selection there will also be an ice ring and big wheel! The market itself will covet Victoria Square , Cenetanary Sqaure and New Street. There are lots of car park near by and the train station is a 10 minute walk.


Glasgow Christmas Market

Dates: 9th November – 23rd December

Opening hours differ, Monday to Wednesday it open from 10AM – 9PM, while Thursday to  Sunday its closes at ,  10PM. The market itself covers St Enoch Square and St George square. There will be around 100 Chalet stalls with lots of amazing traders and food stalls to choose from. There will be 15 meter Christmas tree to really get you in the spirit as well as a Helter skelter, Carousal and German bars and a German windmill. The market is easy accessible by train and car.  Fall in love with Glasgow and the Christmas spirit at this magical market.


Leeds Christmas Market

Dates: 8th November – 21st December

Opening hours differ Monday to Saturday will be open from 10:30AM -21:30PM , Sundays close at 7:30PM. The market itself covers the Millennium Square in Leeds city center with easy train links. This year there will be over 40 traditional chalet stalls, themed indoor bars , a traditional Christmas carousel ride and lots of traditional German food stalls. So if you want to enjoy some gingerbread , drink some gluhwein (seasonal drink) and have some bratwurst assuages , then don’t sleep on Leeds Christmas Market!


Manchester Christmas Markets

Dates: 9th November – 22nd December

Open 10AM -8PM daily, the Christmas Market is located down Market street which is accessible by train but the main hub will be in Albert square, this year will also included Piccadilly garden will will host new food stalls and it one bar area. Which means this year there will be over 300 chalet stalls for you to choose from! There will be lots of food stalls for you to choose from as well as entertainment such as LED light performers , magicians and street theatre. There is something for every festive visitor at this market and I would highly recommend going this year!
