Global Annual Partners’ Conference

Client: An International Law Firm located throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia
Venue: JW Marriott Hotel, Cannes

Objectives

Our client briefed us to completely event manage their 3-day conference

for their Partners from all their offices around the world.

The event needed to reflect the High Performance Culture changes the firm
had integrated over the last year and the direction for 2016 and onwards so
the delivery had to be faultless and spectacular to outdo any previous years.

The conference required plenary presentations, multiple breakout groups
running concurrently, networking sessions, welcome buffet dinners and a gala
dinner which had to impress. In addition this year there were 7 additional
pre-event meetings to be held on location along with 8 pre-event dinners
at a number of restaurants around Cannes.

Result/solution

With persuasion from Obis 360 the client agreed for us to
host the gala dinner offsite from the main hotel which added
increased complications but we felt would really add something
special to the event this year. We chose a beach restaurant for
the event and luckily had amazing weather allow us our champagne
reception on the pontoon which really was spectacular.

Obis 360 sourced the venue after an extensive search of all
European destinations that would be suitable for the event not
only taking into consideration the very specific event
requirements but also the travel feasibility of all destinations
for International guests and related cost implications to the firm.

Action

The client utilized Obis 360’s complete event management offering including managing the agenda, designing the set and all AV and technical aspects of all the breakout meetings and private dinners, complete management of all travel, accommodation and transfers for guests as well and sourcing the venue and designing the gala dinner.
In addition we designed a registration website, sent out all invitations, dealt with all visa requests and remained the one point of contact for all guests for the event, including on the day.

For this particular event we also had the added challenge of travel arrangements in light of the border closures and increased security measures imposed by the Paris attacks.
