There are very exciting things happening in Scotland with regards to new and refurbished hotels & venues. Have a look at just some of the ones that caught our eye, and hopefully yours.
Virgin Hotel Edinburgh

The new hotel from Virgin will be located in the landmark India Buildings at 1-6 Victoria Street in Edinburgh’s Old Town. It will have offer 225 Suites, many different dining options as well as numerous meeting spaces. The Virgin Hotel will be opening Spring 2022.
Glenagles Townhouse

From Gleneagles is set to launch its urban counterpart, Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh. The hotel is taking over a historic building, which was formerly a bank, on St. Andrew Square with 33 guest rooms and dining and drinking venues including all-day restaurant The Spence and roof terrace bar Lamplighters providing views over Edinburgh’s skyline. The hotel will offer a member’s club, with exclusive access to private spaces, and a wellness area with amenities including an infrared sauna, cryotherapy chamber, gym and wellness studios in the bank’s former vault. Expected to open in March 2022.
W Hotels

W Hotels will make its Scotland debut in 2022 with the launch of W Edinburgh set in heart of the St James Quarter city centre hub. This hotel will offer 214 guest rooms and suites, a range of event spaces and a rooftop with 360-degree panoramic views and lots of dining and restaurant options. The hotel will be opening Winter 2022.
Marine Troon

As of January 2022, The Marine Hotel will undergoing a Marine & Lawn transformation. The hotel is located on the Isle of Arran overlooks the Royal Troon Golf Course and it is a well-established golfing spot with amazing views. The refurbishment will be finished and set to reopen in late spring 2022.

Following on from the very successful opening of their Edinburgh hotel opening in 2019, there will be a new House of Gods Hotel coming to Edinburgh. With 22-rooms, the hotel will also house restaurant and cocktail bar. The decor will be similar to the Edinburgh location with dark and moody finishings inspired by Versailles and the Orient Express. The hotel is expected to open in spring 2022 and will be located at 61-63 Glasswork Street.
