Work hard, PLAY harder…

With the French Open this week, Epsom Derby on Saturday and America’s Cup about to start, we wanted to turn our attention to some sport. Calm down, we don’t expect you to grab a pint and sit in a dark and dingy pub crowed with sweaty people. We want you to get active and find fun activities you and your friends can dive into.

SWINGERS
Location: 8 Brown’s Buildings, London EC3A 8AL
Nearest Tube: Aldgate
Website: Swingers Ldn
Suggestion:  There are many places to experience a bit of mini-golf but what we love about Swingers is that is only for 18+ (sorry kids!). Open from midday and you can buy tickets on the door or walk up.  There’s great selection of food to indulge in! Pizza Pilgrims (Vegan available), Patty & Bun and Bubbledogs. and 5 bars to quench your thirst.

CROC BOWLING ALLEY
Location: Ham Yard Hotel, 1 Ham Yard, Soho, W1D 7DT
Nearest Tube: Piccadilly Circus
Website: The Croc Bowling Alley
Suggestion:  A stylish 1950s bowling alley equipped with lounge, bar and dance floor. It is one of a kind in the UK with its solid maple bowling lane. Back-lit bowling balls, vintage bowling shoes and bowling pin lamps sit alongside two large scale Howard Hodgkin artworks. You can even choose to have UV pins and shoelaces! It’s pretty coolsville!

BARANIS
Location: 115 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1PP
Nearest Tube: Chancery Lane or Temple
Website: Baranis
Suggestion:  Remember when you were a kid and you played with marbles? Well, this is adult marbles!! Pétanque is a form of boules where the goal is to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called cochonnet. You can find this little hot spot, in the old auction house cellar. It is a quirky but glamourous venue with the opulence of the south of France.

BALLIE BALLERSON
Location: 79 Stoke Newington Road, London, N16 8AD
Nearest Tube: Dalston Kingsland
Website: Ballie Ballerson
Suggestion: A BALL PIT FOR ADULTS! Ok technically not a sport but there are balls. To be exact, 250,000 clear balls on a 10k LED dance floor. Fire, ice and helium cocktails. You have the space for 2 hours and if you pick the right day, you could even have brunch.

ROOF EAST
Location: Floors 7 & 8, Stratford Multi Storey Car Park, Great Eastern Way, London E15 1XE
Nearest Tube: Stratford
Website: Roof East
Suggestion: This place has everything… Bowls, Cinema, Crazy Golf, Rooftop Rollers but what grabs my attention is ‘Sluggers’! It is London’s first batting experience. Come along to swing your stresses away with another 3 friends. This former car park has been transform into a community space for all you fun people out there. I guarantee once will not be enough!
